Dakota Drafting goes to work for Lumber Yards!

Dakota Drafting has begun to provide Quantitiy Take-Offs for lumber yards and contractors. This time consuming service helps to ease the burden on the personnel and allows them to spend more time selling additional products.

We have put together a plan that allows a lumber yard or contractor to send us a building plan, either electronically or on paper, and we will turn around and give them the quantities of all the materials necessary for that project. 

This speeds up the project and allows them to bid on more projects.  If plans are incomplete so "apples to apples" bids would not be possible,  we can provide additional drafting/spec services that may be needed to get accurate bids.

Initially, since every builder is different, the lumber yard or contractor provides us with a "Building Preferences Form."  This helps us identify what kinds of materials the contractor typically uses to build a home/building.  We keep this information on file for future take-offs needed for that contractor.

This is a new service and has been well recieved.  It starts at just $.15 a square foot so it is very affordable and saves the lumber yard or contractor more than that in time and the ability to generate additional sales.  Please call for more information!
